Osaka Aquarium Game Centre
One of the popular tourist (and local) attractions in Osaka is the Osaka Aquarium (Kaiyukan) and the area around it, which also hosts a Big Wheel, Legoland Osaka, some great tourist souvenir shops and a Sega Arcade.
The arcade is not amazing but there are some interesting finds in there.
It covers 2 floors, the upper floor containing the more popular ufo catchers, and the bigger arcade cabs, while downstairs has the older pachinko and game machines with a lot of kids games.
There are quite a few of these Capcom coin drop games with Nintendo characters.
Aswell as some fairly scary horror games.
Well not all are scary…
I visited this arcade around the time of the Rio Olympics, which explains this collection of Mario & Sonic Rio Olympics cabinets.
And you’ll nearly always find a Mario Kart somewhere…
There was a lot of arcade cabs for the younger kids, including this Ampanman themed Popcorn dispenser…
It’s worth a look if you’re in the area, and there’s a cool ninja shop in the mall it’s attached to!
